Open up a secured credit card (I recommend an Open Sky card). This is your give back card. Use it to automatically donate to a charity, shelter, or for a gift card to someone in need. One $20 charge per month. Pay off your balance each month a few days after Open Sky reports to all three credit bureaus.STEP 1 - GIVE BACK
Open a second credit card. I recommend a Discover secured card (you may be approved for unsecured depending on your credit history). Use this card to be present, meaning treat yourself to one $20 purchase every month. Pay for your Netflix subscription, take yourself out to dinner, whatever you'd like. Reward your progress! Just like the OpenSky card, make sure to pay off the $20 balance after it reports.STEP 2 - BE PRESENT
Use a Credit Builder Loan / Savings Account from Self.STEP 3 - PAY YOURSELF
You'll use this account to pay yourself. Pick your terms and the amount you want to save. Make your payments each month, and collect your savings & interest at the end!
